Playing with Lightning

Description

This is a commissioned piece (posted with permission) of Rosalak, a Felaryan neko shaman, done by the very talented =wenart. He was easy to work with, quick with revisions, and very professional. Be sure to check out his gallery for some other great pieces.

In this image, Rosalak has taken advantage of an existing nighttime storm. He manipulated conditions in order to increase the size and ferocity of the storm, turning it into a massive tempest. He is focusing all of the storm's considerable energy into a central vortex in order to summon forth a powerful lightning elemental, which he can then control to do his bidding.

Everything else is my fault.

I've written one story with Rosalak: Galya's Portal Problems (three parts). Be aware, the story involves vore, so if you do not like such things, please do not read.

Rosalak is the elder shaman of a tribe of very powerful nekos, almost all of whom possess magical ability of varying degrees. They live in a treetop village in a forest at the base of Black Mountain, the hazy outline of which is just barely visible on the far horizon in this image. He does not often show his true power, but when he does, things can become … exciting.

Although he excels at nature magic, his skills encompass a variety of other magical disciplines. Rosalak is one of very few nekos in the Black Mountain tribe to have mastered all forms of elemental magic. He is responsible for teaching Galya, a giant fire naga who lives with the tribe, most of what she knows about fire and illusion magic.
